It's not a secret that I completely melt every time I see a new squishy little baby. I instantly get goosebumps and my eyes fill up with big salty tears.

Read more...Three weeks ago, Ryan's cousin Lacey gave birth to the adorable duo Peyton and Parker and I had the opportunity to photograph their beautiful family last Saturday.
I was incredibly nervous considering my lack of experience but I could not pass up a chance to shoot newborn twins. I relaxed the minute I saw their precious faces and their tiny little toes. The entire afternoon was spent changing diapers, in-between shot feedings and repositioning hats, hands and feet. Total props to mom and dad because I was SPENT after only a few short hours with the boys. They are definitely going to have their hands full but I couldn't think of better people to be tasked with this amazing challenge.
I will be posting a few sneak peaks this week and will have an entire post (or two) dedicated to Peyton and Parker!
I have been a busy, busy bird lately and haven't made much time for my blog. Shame on me! I have a lot to catch up on, starting with this little bundle of delicious joy!
A few weeks ago, I posted a sneak peek of little Taten and am just now doing her full photo-shoot post. I am leaving a few private for mom and dad but they all turned out so great, I had to share.
Eyes, cheeks, lips...Oh my! Last weekend I was privileged to take Taten’s 2 month baby pictures. She is one of the most precious little girls I have ever laid eyes on.

Do all kids have smelly feet?
Is it a boy thing?
Is it a seven and a half year old thing?
Either way my son has record breaking smelly feet. He always has. When he was 2 years old and started wearing sandals, I had to throw them away after a few months due to their stench.
And let me tell you something, it has NOT gotten better. Not even close.
I will be sitting next to him on the couch and it takes all of 7 seconds for the smelly assault to begin. I'm debating between buying face masks or lavender infused socks. Any suggestions?
Here are the culprits...don don don don!!!!
1. It is snowing.
When it's snowing, don't wear Airwalk Moccasins.
When it's snowing and you have to stand in 4 inches of the nasty white stuff waiting for your son to get out of school, don't wear Airwalk Moccasins.
When it's snowing and you have to stand in 4 inches of snow waiting for your son to get out of school and then go back to work with no space heaters and the average temperature in the building is -32 degrees, don't wear Airwalk Moccasins.
If it was nice and sunny and you were lying on the beach eating bon bons, you could wear Airwalk Moccasins. I don't know why you would want to wear them to the beach but you certainly could.
2. I'm starting Project 365. Every day for 365 days (wink, wink) I am going to take a new photograph. I created a weekly theme and by golly I'm sticking to it! Wish me luck.

Do you know what that means?
It's almost Friday, which means this work week is almost over. We are going to take the boys to the Lincoln's Children Museum and Chucky Cheese on Saturday, if my Airwalk Moccasins decide to let me feet live.

I love to design! Love, love, love it. I wish I could spend more time designing baby announcements, holiday cards, birthday and wedding invites. I love that moment of inspiration when everything comes together. It somehow makes the world feel a little smaller and not so scary. I've often prayed that I could love exercising, eating moderately and cleaning as much as I love to design. But so far, that hasn’t happened.
I was bored the other night and came up with a few ideas for invitations.
This one is for my son. He loves swimming and his birthday is in July so it works perfect!
There is only one thing I know to be true.
BOYS WILL BE BOYS.
It doesn't matter how old they are, they are all curious, ornery, stubborn little monsters and I wouldn't have it any other way. Except for when I'm tired, then maybe I would like a remote control with a volume and listen control button.
My boys spent all last week at their dad's and it was very, very quiet at my house. I didn't have anyone to pick up after, besides my dog, Milo.
Christmas was wonderful this year. We spent Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family. We went to mass and then headed over to my Uncle Joe and his wife Stef's house. Every family was responsible for bringing some kind of soup and a dip. We always have wonderful food and this Christmas was no exception.
Before opening presents, we have the brave youngsters sing a few carols. My son was first this year. He sang "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" and "Christmas Colors" which he learned from his preschool Christmas program. He was too cute! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and didn't get a single picture. I was so mad at myself.
Christmas morning I was awoken by my incredibly excited son. My dad spared us all an hour or so by keeping Dylan preoccupied. As eager as he was to open presents, he kept himself busy in the living room singing "Up On the Rooftop" over and over. I wish I could have video recorded it but am very grateful for the extra sleep. Once everyone woke up, we tore into the presents. I could sit here and tell you all the things that went on but that's what pictures are for. So, without further ado, here is Durning Christmas 2010.
